Precision agriculture:
a) Fusion of thermal and hyperspectral imagery for monitoring and mapping water status in various crops and orchards;
b) Spatio-spectral analysis of thermal and hyperspectral imagery for management zones delineation
c) The effect of precision irrigation on yield parameters and water use efficiency (vineyard, cotton, peach)

Spatio-temporal analysis of pests and diseases dispersion: Medfly, Red palm weevil, Olive fly, Heliothis, leaf-roll virus in grapevine and soil-borne diseases in potato.

Development of spatial decision support systems for pest control.

HS and TIR to evaluate water and N
Fin BARD report: Thermal indices based on thermal images were found sensitive to water status in Israel and US in 3 potato varieties. Spectral indices based on aerial HS images were found suitable to detect N stress while PLS analysis models were more sensitive to N levels. Initial fusion of HS and thermal images showed the potential of detecting both N stress and water stress. This study is one of the first attempts at fusing HS and thermal imagery to detect both N and water stress.
