Biography
Analytical Chemist | Ph.D. Candidate, Soil and water
I am an analytical chemist with over 13 years of experience in the quantification and characterization of organic and inorganic compounds, specializing in environmental pollutants, natural products and macro/micro elements.
Currently, I am analytical chemist and research Engineer at the Inter-Institute Equipment Unit of the Volcani Center, I lead advanced analytical services employing cutting-edge techniques such as GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, UHPLC, FTIR, ICP, SEM, TGA, NC.Soil , and Prep-HPLC.
At the same time as my work, I am studying a Ph.D. in Soil and Water Sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. My Ph.D. research focuses on the characterization and remediation of persistent environmental contaminants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), using mineral-based solutions and state-of-the-art LC-MS/MS methodologies. I am also skilled in competitive adsorption studies, exploring multilayer adsorption mechanisms, zeta potential shifts, and thermal stability of advanced materials. my academic and professional journey includes an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, where I studied olive mill wastewater and its interactions with soil, and a B.Sc. in Biological Chemistry, with a focus on synthesizing anticancer compounds
I bring a comprehensive understanding of analytical chemistry, environmental science, and materials research, along with a proven ability to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges.
