Principal investigator – Cellular Agriculture and Alternative Proteins
Ph.D. in Biotechnology Engineering, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel
Research Interests
The Cellular Agriculture lab at Volcani Center uses tools from computational biology, synthetic biology and microbiology to develop novel cells and media for the efficient production of safe alternative protein products. To achieve this goal, the group uses metabolic models to analyze the metabolic network inside the cell and identify strategies for optimal production. Then, the cell-factories are engineered in the production abilities are evaluated.
Please contact us if you are interested in joining our lab. Currently, we have open positions for B.Sc. project students, M.Sc. students and postdoctoral students.
