This research seeks to bridge several fundamental knowledge gaps by: 1. Developing a new unified theory of gas and liquid flow through porous media, and 2. Experimentally and systematically, quantifying the interplay between the governing forces, media, and fluids characteristics on the phase distribution and flow morphology
Qualifications:
B.Sc./M.Sc/PhD in soil physics or a related field Experience in numerical simulations is a plus
Coding experience is a plus
Work collaboratively with a team of researchers
experience with Different models (continuum, pore-networks, etc.), Flow cell experiments, Image analysis.
