The Laboratory for Nanomaterials in Agriculture and the Environment is looking for a Master’s student and a Doctorate for the removal and degradation of persistent water contaminants, with a focus on short-chain PFAS, through tailored material design.

Our work integrates nanoparticle synthesis, advanced characterization, and material-property tuning for targeted agricultural and environmental applications, including performance evaluation under realistic, field-relevant conditions. This is an exceptional opportunity for students with backgrounds in chemistry, environmental science, plant science, or related fields to contribute to a multidisciplinary effort advancing next-generation agricultural and environmental technologies.

The students will gain experience in synthesizing and characterizing nanoparticles and inorganic-organic composites.

Instruments that we use regularly, among others: XRD, ICP-MS, DLS, TEM, and Confocal microscopy.

Qualified candidates should send their CV to Hagai Kohai. via Email: hagaik@volcani.agri.gov.il
