Pcon Group -Fish metabolism๐Ÿงฌ is seeking a PhD candidate ๐ŸŽ“ for research focusing on fish physiology ๐ŸŸ and metabolic adaptation mechanisms ๐ŸŒŠ under changing environmental conditions ๐ŸŒก๏ธ

Our laboratory focuses on the study of fish physiology, with an emphasis on cellular metabolism, energy regulation, and physiological adaptation to environmental changes such as temperature, oxygen availability, and nutrition. We integrate molecular, biochemical, and physiological approaches to address fundamental biological questions with applied relevance to aquaculture.
Our research aims to advance both basic and applied knowledge to improve fish health, welfare, and production efficiency in aquaculture systems.

Recruitments:

MSc in Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Animal Science, or a related field. High motivation for research and willingness to perform experimental work, including working with fish.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good level of English. Previous experience in molecular biochemistry of proteins and/or working with animals/ cell culture โ€“ an advantage.

Students will gain hands-on experience in advanced laboratory techniques in fish physiology, including molecular and biochemical methods, physiological data analysis, and work with advanced research instrumentation (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography, cell culture systems, and resting respirometry systems).
