In our laboratory, we employ physiological, spectral, and genetic approaches to adapt contemporary crops to a changing climate. Our primary genetic resource for this adaptation is wild accessions. Through interspecific crosses between wild and cultivated species, we aim to reintroduce essential traits lost during domestication, thereby enhancing the crops’ resilience to various environmental stresses.
