The Agricultural Robot and Drone Swarm Lab seeks a Master’s student for a Mechanical interaction between robots in swarms and self assembling robots

The Robotic Swarms and Drones Laboratory conducts research on the mechanical aspects of agricultural machinery, including interactions among machines and between machines and their working environment. The laboratory develops new machines and methods for performing agricultural tasks autonomously, energy-efficiently, sustainably, without environmental damage, and in ways adapted to current climatic, energy, economic, and political conditions. Research topics include replacing large machines with efficient and flexible swarms, utilizing structured working environments, accessing agricultural areas using drones, and investigating the capabilities of swarms involving mechanical interaction. Robotic swarms, decentralization, self-assembly, mechanical interaction.

Requirements: BcS in Mechanical Engineering or similar area with specialization on mechanical aspects, technical aptitude, programming skills, readiness to work in agricultural conditions.
