I am seeking a highly motivated PhD student or postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in analytical chemistry and multivariate analysis (chemometrics) to join my research group. The successful candidate will engage in innovative research projects at the intersection of food safety, chemistry, and biotechnology.
Key Research Areas:
- Medicinal Cannabis: Development of advanced analytical methods for cannabinoid and terpene profiling, quality assurance, and chemometric modeling.
- Fermentation and Alcohol Distillation: Chemical characterization and process optimization in fruit fermentation and distilled spirits production.
- Food Commodities: Early chemical and microbial detection to ensure food safety and quality, employing advanced spectroscopic and chromatographic methods.
Candidate Profile:
- Educational Background: A PhD (for postdoc candidates) or MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Chemometrics, Food Science, or a related field.
- Skills: Proficiency in analytical techniques (e.g., NIR spectroscopy, chromatography), chemometric modeling, and multivariate statistical analysis.
- Other Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a passion for interdisciplinary research.
