The GADAL lab is an advanced analytics and machine learning center. Our students will work on statistical software, R or Phyton, in a wide variety of topics. For example, looking at satellite data to understand how climate change affect crops, or how forests affect climate. We also have a wide variety of biological and agricultural datasets on which we work, with domain experts and collaborators in each field. We work on in a wide variety of agriculture and food sustainability questions. Requirements: Excellent computational and statistical skills, including python or R (must). Experience working with large datasets, curiosity, !!!, high self-learning skills, previous experience in research (preferred), ability to advance in uncertainty and high self-motivated individual. Good interpersonal skills!
Students will improve their statistical data analysis skills, and learn the scientific process from raw data to analytical analysis to fair conclusion and reporting.
