Biography

Molecular and genetic medical Cannabis specialist (senior integrator) at the Agricultural research organization, Volcani center, Israel.

I have been working on various aspects of molecular biology and genetic research on Cannabis since 2014. In this time period I have worked on projects related to-

* Molecular and genetic control and characterization of metabolic pathways of cannabinoid and terpene production in Cannabis.
* Various aspects of genetic transformation and functional expression of genes related to the production of terpenes and the cannabinoid pathway in plants and in yeast.
* Cloning dozens of cannabis genes determining the quality and quantity of desired Cannabis metabolites (submitted for a patent).
* Developing an array of unique NGS databases intended to aid science-based cannabis breeding.
* Developing a unique non-sour tomato strain using CRISPR-Cas9 technology. This project is based on a novel gene I have previously cloned, and is not related to Cannabis research.
