Prof. Ron Porat is an expert on postharvest storage and quality of fruit and vegetables. He previously served as Head of the Institute of Postharvest and Food Sciences, at the Volcani Institute, Israel. Dr. Porta’s research focuses on improving fruit flavor and quality, prevention of postharvest food losses, packaging’s and coatings, cold tolerance, flavor quality, and logistic management.
Dr. Ron Porat published more than100 research articles in international refereed journals, and currently serves as an Associate Editor in Postharvest Biology and Technology (PBT).
