Graduated my Phd in Biotechnolgy Engineering from Ben Gurion University, Beer sheva, Israel, in 2010, focussing on Environmental Engineering and Microbial Ecolgy, followed by post-doctoral studies at MIT and the Weizmann Institute.
Since 2016 I took a position as a researcher at the department of Food Sciences at Volcani Istitute, ARO. My lab focusses on microbial processes in Aquaculture environemnts. Subjects include harmful algal blooms in fish ponds, monitoring of contamination and stress conditions in algal bioreactors, and studying fish pathogens and the use of bacteriophage against them as an alternative to antibiotics.
Since 2022 I am also serving as manager of the Microbial Agrotechnology center at the Volcnai Institute, developing fermentation and formulation processes for beneficial microorganisms for agricultural research.
