Research Interests
We apply molecular and synthetic biology tools to better detect and control agricultural insect pests.
Our projects include the development of CRISPR-based insect identification field kits, sustainable production of insect pheromones for monitoring and trapping, and engineering insect genomes for various purposes.
We also analyze insect behavior using computer vision and machine learning
