Dr. Gershoni earned his PhD at the Department of Life Sciences, Ben-Gurion University. He then did his postdoctoral training at the Department of Molecular Genetics at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where he then continued as a research fellow. Since 2018, he has been a research scientist at ARO, Institute of Animal Science.
The lab combines computational analyses of comprehensive genetic data, mainly derived using NGS technologies, together with complementary molecular methodologies to study genetic aspects of quantitative traits, population genetics, and disease-causative genetic variants in cattle and humans.
