Dr. Shtenberg earned his Ph.D. degree (2014) in Biotechnology and Food Engineering at the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology. He brings multidisciplinary expertise in material sciences, semiconductors processing, optical sensors, nanomaterials and porous thin films, microfluidics, surface chemistry and biological interfaces for biomedical and environmental monitoring applications. Dr. Shtenberg is a Research Scientist (since 2016) leading the Biosensors and Nanoengineering Laboratory at the Institute of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, ARO, Volcani Institute. His group is focused on developing novel biosensors/bioassays that will transform from laboratory-based research into real on-site “lab-on-chip” platforms for addressing analytical aspects in the fields of agriculture, animal diagnostics, food safety, biomedical and environmental monitoring and detection.
