Biography
Efrat has extensive experience leading digital, data, and artificial intelligence transformation in large, highly regulated organizations, bridging technology, executive leadership, and organizational practice. Her work focuses on designing and leading organizational change in the era of intelligent systems, with particular emphasis on managerial decision making, accountability, corporate governance, and change management.
Efrat is a PhD candidate at the School of Business Administration at Bar-Ilan University, researching the impact of artificial intelligence on decision making, managerial accountability, and professional identity in organizations. Her research integrates applied, hands-on experience in leading AI implementation with strategic and academic analysis of leadership in a rapidly evolving technological environment.
Efrat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management and an MBA with a specialization in Information Systems. Throughout her career, she has combined execution-oriented leadership with broad systemic thinking, and is committed to developing managerial frameworks that enable responsible, effective, and sustainable adoption of advanced technologies in public sector and large-scale organizations.

This research examines the impact of artificial intelligence on decision making, managerial accountability, and change management in organizations, with a particular focus on public sector and highly regulated environments. The study explicitly bridges the worlds of technology, organizational practice, and leadership, exploring the gap and connection between hands on AI implementation and managerial decision making, governance, and organizational change.
Grounded in applied experience leading digital and AI transformation in complex organizations, and complemented by theoretical analysis of shifting professional roles, authority structures, human AI interaction, and trust mechanisms, the research aims to develop practical managerial frameworks that support responsible, effective, and sustainable leadership in the age of intelligent systems.
