Biography
My research uses Complex Network and Machine Learning methods, to study large and complex data sets. I study how information is spreading nowadays due to technology, and how technology affects our perception of the world.
In these days, I start working in Agri related fields, where also I will use these tools to study food and agri.
Our globe is heating. Population in undeveloped and developing countries grows and will further grow. Can the glob`s capacity to produce food keep with the growing population?

Research Interests
My main expertise domains are tightly related to Network Science, a sub field of Complex Networks, together with Machine Learning.
I was studying for several years topics related to information spread and technology, information manipulations and modern propaganda, the use of bots to amplify messages` spread, the dynamics of global flows of workers and models of homophily on large scale.
I also use computational methods for medical / environmental related data analysis and to study complex social – technology interactions.
Nowadays, I start a new research path in the field of agriculture, environment and food, where I will use the tools of complex networks and data science to help advancing the food needs of the future.
In this future, population will grow, as well as its requirements for food and in particular, protein, climate extreme events are likely to be more frequent, and water is scarcer. This requires challenging technological and scientific effort.
My interest include – farming in semi-arid and arid regions, third world farming, water – climate – vegetation interactions, human and social aspects in food production.
