Biography
My research programs, interests and activities during the last 35 years are within the realm of establishing effective pest management approaches for various agricultures and crop productions systems. My interest in pest control is oriented to the overall system-based approach to manage agricultural pests especially those which have unique features and which are not easily controlled by a single method. During the last decade I established few system based approaches to accomplish plant health management in diverse crop production systems. My specialty and my method of choice within the above mentioned pillars are developing the separate tactics of control for each specific section in the pest life-cycle, followed by integration of these solutions into an inclusive management strategy. The assembly of integrated pest management approach includes physical, chemical and biological approaches. These approaches are executed and supported with the development of engineering solutions.
Education
- 1978-1981 B.Sc Hebrew University, Jerusalem
- 1981-1984 M.Sc Hebrew University, Jerusalem
- 1984-1990 Ph.D Hebrew University, Jerusalem
