Recently released from the Israeli breeding program, “Lavee” is another cultivar suitable for super-high-density orchards. It is characterized by large fruit and high oil content. The oil produced from Lavee has a very distinctive flavor with unique and exceptional aromas compared with other cultivars. Like the Askal, this cultivar is also known for producing high yields under harsh climatic conditions, including extreme heat waves.
