We are, at the Institute of Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering in Volcani Institute, pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for postdoctoral researchers and master’s students to join our research team focused on agricultural waste management, added-value product development, and renewable energy applications. Our program aims to advance innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture and bioenergy production by leveraging agricultural by-products.

Research Areas:

  • Conversion of agricultural waste into bio-based materials
  • Biochemical and microbial valorization of agri-waste
  • Production of renewable energy from agricultural residues
  • Development of biochar, bioplastics, and biochemicals from waste
  • Wastewater treatment and resource recovery

Qualifications:

For Postdoctoral Researchers:

  • A Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related fields.
  • Experience in biomass conversion, bioenergy, or waste valorization.
  • Strong analytical and experimental skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment.

For Master’s Students:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related disciplines).
  • Interest in sustainability, bio-based materials, or renewable energy.
  • Willingness to engage in laboratory and field research.
