Volcani Institute presented Dr. Yafit Cohen from the Institute of Agricultural and Biological Engineering with Researcher of the Year award for her groundbreaking research in precision agriculture.
Volcani also awarded the team of Dr. Victor Alchanatis, Ohaliav Keisar, Guy Liddor, and Dr. Eitan Goldshtein for their unique contributions. The team operates advanced drones for various tasks, spanning from precise crop mapping, to studying bee behavior, and for developing efficient agricultural management methods. Additionally, certificates of excellence were awarded to staff members from the various institutes and administrative departments of Volcani Institute for their contributions and achievements.
Special recognition was given to the employees of Gilat Research Center in the south for their resilience and performance in facing the challenges during the events of October 7 and the Iron Swords War.
