Askal

Developed within the Israeli olive breeding program specifically for super-high-density orchards, It is an outstanding cultivar that produces a very high oil yield compared with others. While it has historically been harvested early due to high Free Fatty Acid (FFA) levels at maturity, this issue is close to being resolved, and the cultivar’s potential remains very high. Askal is characterized by low chilling requirements and performs particularly well in regions with extreme climates and heat waves. Currently, it is the most widely planted cultivar among Israeli growers.
