This sub-site provides information on systematists of Scale Insects, beginning with Carl von Linnaeus (1707-1778) to the present. "Scale Insect systematist" is here regarded a person who has been either an author or co-author of a new taxon in the Coccoidea. The Directory presents the following details:
For deceased systematist - full names, year of birth and year of death, reference to biography and a portrait (in as much as it is available);
For live systematist the user may retrieve information including full names, affiliation address, e-mail address, URL of website page and a portrait. It is my goal to update and upgrade this Directory. Therefore, feedback from colleagues and users will be highly appreciated. If you will discover that a particular scale insect systematist is not included in the Directory, or you have new information and corrections to the included information, please send the information by email to me in order to update the Directory.
