Dovrat Plant and Rangeland Ecology Lab
Karei Deshe experimental range station
Our work examines the links between grazing, soil resource availability, plant functions, community structure and ecosystem functions.
The research focusing on: 1) Sustainable rangeland management, 2) Dynamics of perennial and annual, legumes and grasses, 3) Reorganization and functioning of vegetation in water limited environments, 4) Dispersal ecology (seeds and pathogens), and 5) Disturbance ecology. Our lab holds two main offices and labs sites, in Newe Ya’ar research center at the Israel valley and in Karei Deshe experimental range station in the Upper Galilee. Studies link aspects of nature conservation with agriecological and range managements.
