Improving cuttings quality |
Export of cutting from Israel encompassing a large section of ornamental export. During storage and export rooted and non-rooted cuttings experience stresses of continuous darkness and cold leading either to senescence or chilling injury. In our lab we develop knowledge-based treatments to improve cuttings quality. |

ROSMETER: A new bioinformatic tool |
Oxidative stress in different organelles lead to a different transcriptomic imprint. We developed a new bioinformatic tool, ROSMETER, that is able to identify the ROS-related transcriptome signature related to stresses in different organelles. |

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) in senescnece |
Senescence process has implication to the global food crises, since it affects yield and shelflife maintenance of fruit and leaves after harvest. Senescence is a regulated process in which ROS production and oxidative stress play a major role. Our goal is to characterize the ROS response and to elucidate the role of ROS in senescence. |

Fruit Ripening |
Fruit ripening involves physiological and biological changes like softening, color change, flavor, and resistance to pathogen. This process is controlled by transcription factors and in few fruits also by ethylene. We are studying the mechanism of fruit development and ripening for improving fruit quality and shelflife. |
