The arabidopsis book  is a compilation of over 100 invited chapters, each reviewing in detail an important and interesting aspect of the plant Arabidopsis thaliana, with reference to what is known in other plants and in other kingdoms. This book is available only via the Internet free of charge by The American Society of Plant Biologists.

Ben-Yehuda Project - Publishes electronic versions of public domain Hebrew literature.

Biodiversity heritage library - Open-access digitized publications drawn from the historical biodiversity literature. This is a joint project of ten major natural history museum libraries, botanical libraries, and research institutions.
