The Agricultural Research Organization (ARO) appoints senior scientists from within its staff, to act as scientific directors of the 11 agricultural experimental R&D centers that are located in the various agricultural regions of the country. The Assistant Director for Regional R&D coordinates and oversees the work of these scientific directors, provides scientific guidance to all the R&D centers, and reports directly to the Director of the ARO. The position is currently held by Dr.Yosepha Shahak. |
