Research Interests / Job description
The research in my laboratory is aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in the interactions between the Tomato yellow leaf curl virus and the host plant cell. Recently we discovered the suppression of gene silencing activity of the V2 protein of the virus. The understanding of the mechanism(s) by which V2 interferes with the silencing machinery of the host plant cell is now under investigation.
