MOU with Kazakhstan regarding agricultural & environmental research

On November 30, 2017 The Agricultural research organization (ARO) and The National agrarian scientific-educational center (NPJSC) signed an MOU which expresses mutual interest in bilateral cooperation and agreed to develop mutually advantageous scientific-educational cooperation in agricultural and environmental research.

The ceremony took place at the venue of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem in the presence of the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Minister of Environmental Protection, Mr. Zeev Elkin.

The MOU was signed by the Head of the Institute Prof. Eli Feinerman and by the Deputy for Academic Affairs Prof. Miriam Altstein, on behalf of ARO and by the deputy of Chairman of the Board Damir Yegizbayev, on behalf of NPJSC.

The cooperation will focus on:

• Joint scientific research in the field of crop production, plant sciences and plant protection, post- harvest, soil and water, health food and agriculture at the edge of the desert.
• Realization of joint projects in testing of new varieties, research of new methods of cultivation, commercialization of R&D products of both parties.
• Training and professional development of the teaching staff, research staff by organizing the long term upgrading courses, attraction of experts and other joint measures.
