June ends with a bang
Lots of iBRN news!

Last bits of the pyrolysis unit (BEK) have arrived from All Power Labs in San Francisco. We're busy putting it together and hope to start generating biochar in the next few weeks.

We gave three talks in June - Yael at a Bicontrol conference in Gratz, Austira, Max at the Israel Society for Ecology and Environment, and Ellen, at the USBiochar meeting in Ames, Iowa. Lots of ggod responses at all three conferences! Our plant disease resistance results were highlighted in a plenary lecture by Chris Steiner at the USBiochar conference.

Finally, we got official documentation of grant from Chief Scientist of Agriculture for Biochar study. Full steam ahead!

Paper on Biochar role in inducing systemic resistance to foliar fungal diseases will appear in the Sept. issue of the journal "Phytopathology".

Our manuscript documenting biochar effects on development and productivity of pepper and tomato was submitted to Plant and Soil.

A manuscript documenting pH effects on biochar CEC and nutrient releases was submitted in April.
